Design Team Craft Room Reveal - Sammy

Hi everyone, this is our last Craft Room Reveal and I hope you all enjoyed looking into our craft spaces.....I loved it.
Last but not least is Sammy, go and check out her blog and leave her some love, blessings Hilde

Sammy:
I don't have much in the way of a craft space. In fact, I use the far end of the living room, and have a desk and the floor space around it. It's not ideal, because often stuff is in the way of regular life, and as my organisation is pretty much "everything in one big pile", it can be tricky to get at or find things.
But it's what I have, and of course I make do. Though fingers crossed we'll have a conservatory next summer, which I will of course claim as mine! lol.

This is a view of my entire area. It's deceptive, as the drawers are actually full of household paperwork! lol.

I have my ribbon stash in a box under my desk, and my bag of paper flowers too. Under the drawers are my basket of punches and a bag with materials such as hessian (burlap).

The floor space beside my desk has stacks of cardstock and 12x 12 papers, as well as my box of stamps. The two cardboard boxes at the back hold my recently finished cards (one for Christmas, one for everything else!)  You can also see my cases full of embellishments in front! They are always in the way! lol.

The lefthand side of my desk stores my designer paper. 6x6, 8x8, A4 and A5. The stack next to it is a box full of toppers and such (which I should probably move, as I rarely use them any more! and some magazines, my charm box and my box of scraps of cardstock.
You can also see my jar full of lace and some finished cards awaiting photography! :-)

A couple of shelves that hold more ribbon, loadsa buttons and my LOTV stamp folders and art/sketch pads. (I luuuuurve this shelf!)

And finally, this is the space I work at. The cutting mat started off as A2, but I have access to less than half of it! lol. As you may be able to tell from the ruler and knife and the lack of guillotine, yes, I cut all my card bases, mats and everything by hand! (I do finally have a die-cutting machine, which is on the kitchen table...)
To the right there are two extra-large pencil cases full of  Promarkers, and various tools and supplies are dotted around... At the back are some clear plastic envelopes with gems, brads, washi tape and such.
I even have a Tim Holtz corner, where I have a stack of  Distress ink pads, and my stickles and distresser!
So there you have it... my crafting corner! It's not as roomy as some, but it's mine, and I love spending time there. :-) x

Thanks Sammy for letting us have a look into your crafting space. I  love LOTV as well, and I am very impressed that you have Tim Holtz corner.....blessings Hilde

Design Team Craft Room Reveal : Wynn

Hi again, well here we are with another great Craft Room Reveal, I hope you have been enjoying us sharing with you our wonderful crafy places. Make sure you hop on over and check out her blog as well. Here is Wynn in her words...

WYNN
Here is my craft tour for what's it's worth. Not got a lot but I manage. You could say I'm lucky that I do have a craft room but guess what I rarely use it. Why? Well in the Summer it gets extremely hot. There's no Air Con and fans just blow crafty stuff all over the place. In the Winter it is freezing!! Can't wear gloves to craft now can we. So I prefer being at my desk with the PC and I nip in and out for tools and goodies. Keeps me fit you could say. I do tidy everything away at the end of the day but it's a mess during the creative process.

Craft Room

The blue boxes have things like templates, punches, large flowers etc.
The see through boxes have smaller flowers, wire, some ribbons, bows etc....all your small fiddley stuff. The jars hold buttons..... colour coded.

You can see two boxes of 'sayings'/small tags here too, flower soft and a cutter.

Tissue paper and ribbon bows and plastic wallets are in the drawers. The blue box holds my card stock and the white box fancy/glitter/mirri card. Circle cutter is on top.
On top of the spare freezer I have baskets with more jars of buttons and sequins. Small blue boxes as before.
This is my desk that I should work at but don't!! To the right are files with colour co ordinated scrap papers in.. Large hole punch, embossing tools, circle cutter and small non stick mat. My stamps and inks are in the brown box and along top of desk. The heat gun and notebooks to alter are there too. On the left I've a box of jewellery making tools and findings and some beads.

Top drawer of desk holds toppers and ATC's. 2nd drawer bright coloured ribbons. 3rd drawer pastel ribbon. Bottom drawer ready made tags and die cuts.

On another wall I have a shelf unit which has large purple boxes storing DP and one of these has Xmas stuff in. You can see staplers here too and the tin behind contains sand and small sea shells.

Boxes with a wide variety of envelopes and boxes half made up. More Xmas stuff on top shelf.

This is where I have my paints and brushes stored and decoupage and more DP are in the blue boxes.
This is my messy space. PC, printer, card, paper, CD's are here. Very untidy!!
My work area outside if it's not too windy.
And if I want a view of the pool I just move my craft stuff around to other side of table. I have my craft group tool box in the boot of my car more or less permanently....then I'm always good to go each week to my craft group.
So that's it. Not a lot but then there's not a lot to buy here.

Thanks Wynn for the tour, just looking at that pool would be too distracting for me, I would never get any crafting done, thanks so much for letting us have a look into your world,
many blessings Hilde

Design Team Craft Room Reveal - Kelli

Hi again, I know that you have all been enjoying our voyer views into the craft room/ spaces or our Dragonflies, I know I have.....I have heaps of stuff, but some of my ladies have an amazing amount of gorgeous play things, I really want to come and visit....Kel, I feel the urgent need to come and visit you in Hawaii....you up for it?

I am fortunate to have a dedicated craft space - we enclosed our 2 car garage, cleaned, repainted, and carpeted it to make it into a craft room/sewing room/holiday and misc storage/kids game room/business storage/romp room.  It is nice that I can walk away from this space when I am done and come back to it later.  It is in the far corner of the room so as long as I leave a pathway through the room, I can leave my space as messy as I want it to be... and it tends to stay messy.  I don't have that clean gene that my mom has!!!  And to be honest, this room is RARELY clean.  It only really is presentable when we have parties or people over.  It's been MONTHS since we started moving things around and there is still a pretty sizeable pile of sCRAP that doesn't have a home.

If you remember, this is what my space looked like after the first big change - my desk.  It has more stuff piled on it but is pretty much the same.
desk2
1 - pens, copics
2 - small embellishments, glitter, bling
3 - princess' bed & new-to-me computer
4 - crafting calendar (DT work, classes, blog posting, orders due) + forms and paperwork
5 - 2 clip-it-ups with alpha stickers, themed stickers
6 - ink pads, acrylic blocks, 1/4-sheet white CS for stamping and coloring
This is the "before" looking from my desk towards the bathroom.
papershelves2
1 - PP, scraps, cardstock
2 - ribbon drawers - mostly big gift wrapping ribbons, and misc crafting stuff
3 - 1/2 bath
4 - unfinished card kits, misc. embellishments
5 - business PP, monthly kit clubs, misc. paper specific to certain projects

We moved some of the shelves to the closet to try and organize that space and condensed the shelves a bit to make a larger floor space, better for doing P90X and playing Kinect and whatnot lol!  There's still a lot of stuff that needs homes - I guess that's what happens when you take away storage space... there are things that no longer have homes!
20131120-123729

This is the closet that some of the shelving moved into.  The before was a bunch of boxes and bins stacked on each other to the point that it was almost impossible to access a box on the bottom because it means having to move half the closet around to get to it.  The kids' (and by 'kids' I also mean J!) video game stuff is all on this cart and in these drawers.  I also have a small collection of dvds that I enjoy watching while I work, although with Netflix built into the XBox, I watch less dvds and stream more stuff!!
20131120-123720

The before of this corner was a folded-up treadmill that has since found a new home at xSIL's house.  There is a lot of miscellaneous stuff here.  And it is another area that needs sorting and purging.
20131120-123625

There's still a bit more to the room that I haven't shared but I am embarassed enough showing you the messy work spaces... I am definitely scared to share my large pile of sCRAP!!!!  One of these days I will get through everything and be able to share a fully clean space.  I think.  haha!!
lovies, =o) kel

Wow Kel, I am amazed....you really are blessed to have such a space..thanks for sharing...
blessings Hilde.....
Go and hop on over to Kel's blog and leave her some love

Design Team Craft Room Reveal - Hilde

Hi all, well it's my turn to show you my space. I loved seeing all those gorgeous places and spaces from my Team, I hope you did to, there are yet a few more to come....
We have a two storey house and upstairs is a room that has been used for all sorts of things over the years, and now it is my caft space...

I have been very blessed indeed to have my own craft room now...but after 32 years of marriage, I don't feel guilty one bit....when the kids were little we never had the money, time or room....but now I can enjoy things a bit more and have more 'me' time....my husband loves to sit on the couch and play on his Ipad and I often hear the sound effects when he watches his car you tube restoration videos.
So we both enjoy each others company, and he shows me his video and I show him my finished creations, and my daughter who still lives at home will often use the computer, when I am crafting...

I have done a bit of a before and after....
Here is one of my corners before- bit messy

Here is the after
I finally got myself some cheap cube shelves from Fantastic Furniture and it looks a lot more tidy now. You can see the ribbons in the jars to the left and my stamp pads...More ribbons, stamps, embellies and stuff are in the shelves...

This is a long desk that I can spread out across, sometimes I spread myself a bit too far.....
but this organised mess is how I create, to the left you see punches and stuff, lots of stuff . I dont tidy this one............phfftt...

Before: Here is a shelf with all sorts of wonders, as I was tidying up, I found stuff I didn't even know I had.
Here it is after, changed a few things around, but not that much. I use the ironing board for my die cutting, not for ironing, who likes ironing, bahh, not me, found a better use for it...
At the bottom right you can see my card stock....my stamps and dies are all in the boxes in the shelves..
Well there you have it, maybe not as big or as much as some, but still massive....and am very blessed to have it and I enjoy working in my creative crafty room....
I hope you liked having a look, blessings Hilde

Design Team Craft Room Reveal : Barb

Hi everyone, well I really hope you have been enjoying our show and tell....I have asked my girls to let us all see where they do their creating...I love having a look at how much or how little our craft collections are....so much fun to have a stickybeak...today is Barb's turn: enjoy

Barb
I'm like Tania, I'm using 3 rooms for crafting right now, so I'm in a craft house too.
My kitchen houses the command center, lol. Actually it is my computer and Silhouette SD, which I use for EVERYTHING. My setup is quite clever really, we removed the bottom right cupboard and put in a sliding tray for my keyboard. My computer, monitor, and printer sit on top. My Silhouette is on a TV tray for easy connection to the computer.

My dining room has all my paper and tools storage and I use the dining room table for most of my cutting, gluing, crafting, etc. As you can see, another little desk has moved in there. The big window overlooks the river valley so we all like 'working' in there.
I am in the process of turning the former nursery into my craft room (that explains the Disney Babies on the wall). The Husband painted an old dresser that beautiful, bright, sunny yellow that will hold most of the papers and tools that are currently downstairs. I bought a computer armoire which will hold a laptop (if and when I get one) and my Silhouette. My sewing machine table is also in here now. The Husband also made a Murphy bed so that we can still use the room as a spare room for company but I can put it up and out of the way when I'm working in there.
There's a tour of my crafty spaces (and my house). I am blessed to have so many inspirational places and spaces to 'work'!

To find out more go to Barbs blog here

Oh my goodness, I am loving your craft house, and the Murphy bed is fantastic, believing for you that you will get your lap top, thanks for the tour, blessings Hilde

Design Team Craft Room Reveal - Judith

Hi everone, I certainly hope you have been enjoying the craft room tour from our girls....
I know I certainly have, well today we have the pleasure of checking out Judith;s craft space, and she is very brave as she is showing us a before and after....go Judith...!!

 Judith
I have tidied my craft room! It has taken two trips away from my Husband to achieve this, but it is now very tidy. I am including a before picture as well, just so you can see how slovenly I usually am! My craft room is what should be the dining room of our house, but it is quite small, and we have had a lovely extension built to house our dining table now.

I am ashamed to show this picture, but in my defence, I always know where everything is!

My nice tidy desk, you couldn't see the Big Shot Pro before, could you? There are pieces of my artwork on the wall, and the collection keeps growing.

Lots of baskets and useful storage to keep things organised.

My precious unmounted stamp collection is housed in those Really Useful boxes, and I have more stored elsewhere. I love to collect books on the various crafts that I enjoy, cardmaking, mixed media, jewellery making, etc.
The filing cabinets, including the little red one on the left, house my wood mounted stamps, more unmounted stamps and card. I hope you have enjoyed the tour of my craft room. I quite often end up working on the dining table because my desk is so untidy, plus the lighting is better there:

Please check her blog here out for more details and leave her some love.

Thanks so much Judith, I really enjoyed looking around, and it certainly gave me some valuable ideas on storage, and I love the open plan of your you living room,  blessings Hilde

Design Team Craft Room Reveal - Tania

Hi everyone and welcome to another great Craftroom Reveal...Oh how much fun we have been having looking at everyone's amazing craft spaces.... today it's Tania's turn......enjoy.............

Tania
Hi all.  Please note I craft in the back of the lounge, I will and do store my craft where ever I can in the bungalow.(My husband says we live ina craft house)
This is my main crafting area, you can some of my  punches and my alcohol pens and Stampin Up ink carousel
Across from this I have another larger crafting space and store many items under the table in A4 boxes Distress Inks, tonic dies etc
Oh yes and I forgot to lift the cat dishes out of the lounge window (hard dry food only) but I have very fickle cats and they are not keen eating together and we have 3.
This is to the side of picture one you can see me Ebosser & Big shot
My Grand Calibur is below.
I store my dies in a bookcase at the front of the lounge along with my A3 printer
This is in the hallway and I store my unmounted stamps in plastic boxes.
I also store Spellbinder dies and card in them too.
I store some things in the little bedroom but it still is a bedroom .
In A4 boxes on sheleves
The rest of my stash is in Really Useful Boxes in the loft.
So I wish I had a craft room and not spread all over the house.
Txx

OMGTania, looks like a craft room/house to me alright....so much stuff, I would loose myself there for a couple of days easy...thanks for sharing,
please make sure you visit Tania here..and leave her some love

Design Team Craft Room Reveal - Susan

Hi everyone, well here we are with our second
Craft Room Reveal....
Each week I will have the pleasure of showing you one of our Design Teams Craft Rooms or Craft area.......last week you were able to see Ina's gorgeous room, now it's Susan's turn...

Susan is another one of our Aussie girls and here is her gorgeous room,  this is in her words, make sure you visit her blog as well and leave her some love.....have fun, blessings Hilde

 Susan
I tidied up my space (Susan) and did some reorganising,
so will only show a few piccies of it now, not then!
I am downstairs under the main living space with a spiral staircase between. Hubbies wood-working workshop is on the other side of the wall behind the computer desk. He has a part of my space for his desk and filing cabinets, and some shelving. There is a bathroom and wine storage area (in the shower!) between the two spaces!

Between the glass walls (windows) to outside I have squeezed this cupboard and drawers.  Paper storage either side and the middle is mostly ribbons plus embellishments. I am going up and up and have almost obscured a lovely crayon drawing I purchased of a ketch in Ireland. Need to lift it a bit higher perhaps? Drawers contain wooded stamps mostly.

Turn right and you see the table hubby first built me to craft on.  Covered with stuff most of the time now. Note the ink storage on rhs - hubby built that too. VERY sturdy and heavy (like all his work!). Under this table is more paper storage, mostly. I use big plastic bins for SU card. The plastic drawers have Momento inks, and current SU ones. The round container has sponge bits for each ink colour stored in it. Behind the plastic is a basket of punches. On the lhs of the table are two CD towers containing all my non-SU plastic stamps - its full! Ribbons cascade off this on one side.

Inside the cupboard is more ribbon (top shelf), re-inkers and TH's inks, pencils and stuff Bottom shelf has chipboards, washi tapes, useful stuff......and paints! Door hanging is sprays and daubers and stuff.....

Turn left and you look at my standing desk where I work (back problems) and it is hard to make out what is what because my hubbies desk and shelves are over the back. The boxes with the x's were made by John to hold my Copics but that collection grew too big so now I have a big black canvas box/bag thing for them. LHS has paper flowers, black box has photos, the RHS has a basket of useful paper bits.  Shelf under has my cutters and rulers, and bling boxes and some extra card, and the sticker collection......might move that.....and the baskets hanging below that have (rhs) more stickers and (lhs) white card.  The plastic file has EP stuff on top and in top three drawers; then flowers and the bottom purple two are wooden bits and lace.
Under the table is a mess!
Put your back to the cupboard and you look at the internal wall. Shelving has SU cling stamps, boxes of letters. the green canvas basket has punches (behind the screen).

Under the desk is the Christmas supplies and the sewing machine!

The wall behind the stair has  the wooden SU stamp sets, the extra ribbon, the card stock, made-up items, my painting gear, die-cuts in baskets, albums.....magazines, sewing gear.....small paper pads and in another plastic wheelie on floor that you cannot see, there are other paper pads and freebie papers from magazines.
To the left of this is another cupboard set, with the Big Shot on top and more dies and embossing folders. The book shelves hold mostly non-fiction books.  There is a row of MS punches of course. This cupboard has my SU business stuff and lots of supplies and thing needed to assist me in my crafting! The mess on the rhs is made up of w/c paining pads, boxes and things too good to throw away. The lhs is the printer .That'll do................

click here to go to her blog...
WOW, that is all I can say, thanks Susan for the tour...blessings Hilde
(That took two cups of coffee looking at all your lovelies...... )
