Challenge # 29 : ATC - Artist Trading Card - group/set of 3

Welcome to this fortnights Dragonfly Challenge. We are so glad you are visiting us today. Please take your time to look around and I would love to encourage you to join us.
Dragonfly hugs to all our followers new and old.

And our winner for the 300 followers candy was Cindy
Cindy from Inlovewithpaper
Congratulations again.
Cindy has made contact and her prize is on the way...

In this challenge we are asking you to create 3 ATC's, a group or a set. So all sort of matching.
When I first stumbled upon ATC's, I didn't know what to do with them, but I have grown to love them. If you think phhhffttt, not going to do this one, please re consider. Because even if you are not an ATC fan, they do make the perfect card topper.....so please give them a go...

An artist trading card (or ATC for short) is a tiny, original piece of art created with the intention of swapping or trading it with another artist, not selling it. The one rule an artist trading card must adhere to is the size. An ATC must be 2.5 x 3.5 inches or 64 x 89 mm. Click here for some more basic info on them.

Our Sponsors for this challenge are

Pickled Potpourri

Winners Post for Challenge #27 - Use a peg!

Well it's that time again - to announce the

This challenge was another challenge it seems, even though there are lots of examples out there of people using pegs in their work - actual pegs that it - not just pictures of pegs. I would simple ask again that people who enter these challenges read the theme properly - it specifically stated to use wooden pegs.

I was flipping through blogland and found lots of examples in the last few days of people using these in innovative ways in their work 'cause pegs are very trending these days in the craft world..........however, on to the winner!

Such a good idea for party favors and presents!
This is just what I was hoping to see, these are wonderfully colorful and useful, well done ( Hilde)

Congratulations Vicki - please contact via the Winners tab at the top of this page, and don't forget to collect your winners blinkie to display as well!

We have a TOP TWO this week and I get to pick! Now, there is no prize with these but there is the  honour of being chosen and a blinkie to be displayed as well! Congratulations go to:

Drum roll......

Sooo cute and yes, I had to go and purchase that cloud and rain and sun (TIP: Flourish with a Bling have a $2 for everything sale on at the moment for June)! The other thing I really like about this is that it breaks the rule of 3 so beautifully and so effectively! That's the thing about rules in art work - made to be broken!

That little butterfly peg is just so cute and the perfect embellie for this card. I love all the Tim Holtzyness too going on there and the pleated ribbon and the card shape.....you get the picture! Beautiful colouring work too - especially on the hair.

Ladies, you are all also invited to be Guest Designers for us, so if you are interested, again the details are in the Winners tab at the top of the page. We would love to have you join the team for a challenge.

Now, what is happening with the Dragonflies this week?  Well there is the....

300 follower candy

Challenge # 28 : Zentangle - Card Challenge

Hi all, it's wonderful to 'see' you all, hope you are well, big Dragonfly hugs to everyone.
Whenever we have the 'alternate' challenge everyone seems to get cold feet, lol.

We have been saddened by how many entries need to be disqualified because they are not following one very simple rule, and that is: You must be a follower of this blog to enter the challenges.....
So please make sure you are a follower before entering . Thanks

Watch out for next Wednesday Winners post.....

Here is something else to get your teeth into....
Zentangle - Black and White - Card challenge

You can do it as a background as well or as the image or both.
It's basically controlled doodling really, so we have all done it to some degree.
I know my example is very simple... so please excuse...we are not expecting you to be an expert, but at least give it a go...there are some beautiful patterns out there, so much to get inspired by. Check out Pinterest or check out this website about it all...

Our sponsor for this amazing challenge are two of my favourites

She also used this gorgeous tulip image from Eureka for this card, the orange surround is just a piece of cardstock used to take the photo...

CG has used this Sun Image from Eureka to perfection

Sammy used this gorgeous image from Bugaboo and what a great job she did.

Please welcome our new Dragonflies

Hi everyone, we have some great news to share, we have two new DT Members, and would like to introduce them to you today...Please make them welcome and drop in to say HI....

My name is Jennifer, and I am so excited to be joining the Crafting with Dragonflies DT!

I am a 49 year old married mom of 3 handsome sons. (they take after their gorgey father! grins!) We live in a quaint little village in NE Ohio, where it sometimes seems to snow forever and ever. Thankfully our almost 160 year old home keeps us nice and warm in this snow and maple syrup capitol of the state. Our 2 Labradors, Mocha and Latte, are my best buddies, as they keep me company now that the boys are all off at school. yes, I named them, and yes, I like coffee. I guess that is kinda like saying bees like honey. I REALLY REALLY REALLY like coffee. and zombies. and nerdy stuff.

I've been a lifelong crafter, doing needlepoint when I was a young girl, moving into scrapbooks when I had my boys, then rubber stamping when they were in elementary school. now I do lots of different kinds of paper crafting, but still primarily work on cards. my style leans toward the vintage and shabby. I do enjoy using lots of vintage bits and bobs on my projects when I can. I also like to add other fun goodies like tags and buttons and things I come across, like belt loops from a discarded pair of shorts. you never really know for sure what you might find on one of my cards or projects! that is part of what makes crafting so much fun

I am married & have 2 boys. We live in Oxford shire. I've been crafting for most of my life from knitting with my Granddad who taught me to knit to painting. Started to paper craft after my 2nd son was born so about 10 years & couple years ago got in to scrap booking which i teach at our local craft shop & other paper crafting. I'm also a demonstrator for Debbi Moore designs & do samples for create & craft.

So much talent on offer here, both girls have already blended in nicely with our other Dragonflies...
Make sure you pay them a visit and check out their wonderful creations....
Thanks girls, looking forward to working with you, blessings Hilde and the Team.
